    What's going on?

Obviously, no one would have a clue what's going on here because I've been lacking in my blogging.  Why, you ask?  Well, I've just been so darn busy!  I joined Clubmom a long time ago, but have recently joined a couple of groups on there.  One is a cleaning group.  I have been keeping the house much cleaner, on average.  There are still some days that it isn't getting done, but chances are that you aren't going to walk in and find our laundry piled 2 feet high on the back of the sofa.  I'm keeping the bathrooms neat and tidy.  The dishes are out of the sink on a regular basis. WOOHOO!!

Today, however, I did nothing in the morning.  At least, nothing in the house.  I went with Alicia on her field trip on the Christmas Train.  It is tons of fun and the kiddoes love it.  We went last year, too, but this year there were no younger siblings allowed.  Poor Reece was so sad when he realized that he couldn't come with us.  "But I want to go on the Christmas train, too, Mama!  I want to see Santa!"  I felt so badly for him.  We rode in the lounge car, which was really nice because the seats were all facing the aisle and the tables were just little.  It allowed the kids to interact a lot more with each other.  This year's Santa was better than last year's; he actually smiled for the pictures!  The singer was better than the singer last year.  He had a wonderful voice and great guitar playing skills.  The head elf was thinner!

I only throw in the part about the elf because my childhood friend Michelle is the head elf.  Apparently, her husband owns the Sierra Railroad and she is now busy working it.   She was very good with the kids and sang songs with them (offkey, but it was sweet) and read them a story.   She even stopped to pray with one of Alicia's friends who fell over after she and Ali bumped into each other.  I don't think that many elves would stop to pray with a person.

The only downside to the whole trip is that I forgot my camera.  I am very sad about that fact.
